VRMSIM Privacy Policy

AquaStratus (“we,” “us,” or “the Operator”) provides the VR application VRMSIM (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App on a Meta Quest device.

1. About VRMSIM

VRMSIM allows users to load, view, animate, and manipulate VRM models on Meta Quest. Users can also load VRMA animation files and audio files and create expression settings for their VRM models.

2. Information Processed on Your Device

The App processes the following information locally on your Meta Quest device:

• VRM model files provided by the user
• VRMA animation files provided by the user
• Audio files provided by the user
• Shape key values and expression settings for each VRM model
• Audio assignments, pitch settings, and volume settings
• Headset position and orientation
• Controller position, orientation, and button input
• Hand-tracking position and pose information

This information is used only to provide the App’s display, animation, expression, audio playback, tracking, and interaction features.

3. Local File Storage

User-provided files and settings generated by the App are generally stored locally in the following directory on the Meta Quest device:

Android/data/com.AquaStratus/files/VRMsim/

This directory contains the following subdirectories:

vrm
animation
audio
setting

Expression settings and related configuration data are stored in the setting directory.

4. No Upload to Operator-Controlled Servers

The App does not provide a feature that uploads user-provided VRM models, VRMA animations, audio files, or expression settings to servers operated by AquaStratus.

We do not collect, access, sell, or share these files for advertising purposes. The App does not use an Operator-controlled analytics service, advertising service, or cloud storage service.

5. Tracking and Input Data

The App uses headset position and orientation, controller position and input, and hand position and pose information in real time to provide VR interaction. This information is not uploaded to servers operated by AquaStratus and is not permanently stored by AquaStratus.

6. Passthrough

The App can use the Meta Quest passthrough feature to display the user’s physical surroundings as the background of the experience.

The App does not request permission to access raw passthrough camera images. It does not record, store, or transmit camera images to AquaStratus. Passthrough is displayed through Meta Quest system functionality.

7. Microphone, Spatial Anchors, and Scene Data

The App does not use:

• Microphone recording
• Raw passthrough camera images
• Spatial Anchors
• Meta Quest Scene API room data, such as walls, floors, ceilings, or furniture

The App can play audio files selected by the user, but it does not record the user’s voice.

8. Network and Platform Services

The App may include network-related permissions required by the Unity and Meta Quest runtime environments. The App does not intentionally upload user-selected VRM, VRMA, audio, or expression data to AquaStratus.

The App is built using Meta Quest, Meta XR SDK, Unity, and OpenXR. Meta or Unity may process device information, diagnostics, store information, or other technical information under their own terms and privacy policies. Such processing is separate from collection by AquaStratus.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Files and settings stored locally remain on the device until the user deletes them.

Users can delete locally stored data by deleting the relevant files from the VRMsim directory, using an available deletion function within the App, or uninstalling the App.

Uninstalling the App may delete its application-specific data. Users should back up any VRM, VRMA, audio, or settings files they wish to retain before uninstalling the App.

Because AquaStratus does not store user-provided files on an Operator-controlled server, a server-side deletion request is normally not necessary.

10. Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users through servers operated by AquaStratus.

11. Data Security

The App is designed to process user-selected content locally on the device. Users are responsible for verifying the safety of files obtained from third parties and ensuring that they have the necessary rights to use any VRM, VRMA, or audio files they load into the App.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, applicable laws, or Meta Horizon Store requirements. Any changes will be published on this page, and the effective date will be updated when appropriate.
